2016 Campo di Blanca
A very complex nose with notes of marzipan delivered from Marsanne, magnolia and beeswax from Roussanne and dried apricot from the Viognier. On the mouth, the Marsanne is the backbone of the blend, contributing weight and roundness while the Viognier adds a touch of acidity that helps balance the final blend.
This Rhone Valley inspired white blend is comprised of Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne from two vineyard sites. The Viognier comes from Campo dos Robles (field of two oaks) Vineyard, which is Campovida's estate Viognier block and is CCOF organic certified. The Marsanne and Roussanne come from Bonofiglio Vineyard, an organically farmed, seven-acre vineyard located five miles north of the town of Hopland. Both vineyard sites are located along the banks of the upper Russian River, where the gravelly loam soils provide ideal sites for growing world-class Rhone white grapes.
