Aromas of cherries, cranberries, and rose petals. This light bodied wine is perfect to bring out at the beginning of a dinner party with a charcuterie board as the guests are arriving. There are earthy overtones across the pallet with a slightly aromatic flavor.
Negroamaro originally comes from the Puglia region in southern Italy (the heel of the the boot.) The Latin and Greek interpretation of the name comes from the coloring, "negroamaro" meaning "dark black". Our Negroamaro comes from Benson Ranch located outside of Ukiah, just 14 miles north of the town of Hopland. These dry-farmed grapes sit on a well drained east-facing slope that is ideal for intensifying depth of flavors.
