A light bodied fruit-bomb that exudes tasting notes of bing cherry and bubble gum, our first official Novello release was harvested, bottled, and released within 2 months of harvest. The ease and drinkability of this wine - paired with the timeliness of the holiday season - makes it a perfect accompaniment for roasted turkey, honey glazed ham, or manchego cheese.
The Negroamaro grapes used for our Novello come from the Fox Hill vineyard - a 150 acre ranch owned and managed by Lowell Stone. Located 8 miles north of the town of Hopland along the banks of the upper Russian River and sitting at 900 feet of altitude on a west-facing slope, this site provides outstanding conditions for growing red Italian varietals.
